The first week of June is National Gardening Week. It’s both a celebration, and an educational opportunity. Tens of millions of Americans, of any age, grow some type of garden. So get prepared because next week is a great reason/excuse to get out into your garden, along with enjoying it’s peacefulness and beauty. Regardless of whether your garden is big or small, take time to enjoy it – and show it off!

I am NOT an experienced gardener, so I have made lots of mistakes while attempting to plant. Last year I finally got smart & did a little research prior to digging & buying plants this year. I found two sites to help me on my journey. One is Gingham Gardens and you can try this page of her blog to get started. Another interesting one I just found is provenwinnersdirect.com. Apparently they are mostly about selling plants, but I get emails from them with good info.

So – use a good organic sunscreen (you can find a trustworthy list of the best at https://www.ewg.org) and spend some time in whatever space you can set up to grow things!
